Fox wood carving
Step 1
Star by sketching out the fox on the wood and cutting the basic shapes. Cut out triangles for the legs and cut out a chunk in the middle of the top to create the tail and head.
Step 3
Start to define the details carve out space for the eyes and point the nose. Shape the ears and cheeks then make the neck. Shape the hind legs and tail.
Step 2
Next start to carve out the tail and head features. Slim down the body legs. Start to make the cheeks and nose.
Step 4
Using the dremel start to smooth out the features. Then the carving is done start to get it ready to paint with the wood primer.
Step 5
Once the primer is dry I use a green wash on the fox. I use an acrylic paint and water mix so the wood texture comes through. when you are happy with he paint and it is dry do one more coat of the wood primer. Let it dry and finally I burn my initials in to the fox belly.
